The Vision Impact Institute Welcomes Newest Board Member
Dr. Wang Wei, renowned businessman and financier, brings industry leadership to the Institute
Dallas – The Vision Impact Institute (VII) has elected Dr. Wang Wei to its board of directors. Dr. Wang brings significant business leadership experience, financial expertise, and entrepreneurship to assist the VII in its mission to raise awareness about the importance of healthy vision and the quality of life benefits which can result from vision correction.
Highly regarded as an influential member of the Asia business and finance communities, Dr. Wang is currently serving on the board of directors of the Global Blockchain Business Council, a council founded by 25 countries to educate about, and advocate for, the use of blockchain technology around the world. He was also elected chairman of the Asia M&A Association and co-chairman of the International Federation of Finance Museums in 2015. Furthermore, Dr. Wang has been a member of the Shanghai Stock Exchange Corporate Governance Committee, where he has managed and overseen IPO processes for more than 40 domestic and international companies, since 2007.

In addition to his work on other boards and committees, Dr. Wang is also the founder of both China Mergers & Acquisitions, an organization he started in 2004, and the Chinese Museum of Finance Group, an organization he began in 2010 which now has six museums in five major cities in China.
Dr. Wang has been recognized for his many contributions to the business industry and has received several accolades from institutions and organizations such as the China Finance Network, Directors & Boards magazine, Talents magazine, the International Federation of Finance Museums, The M&A Advisor (New York) and The Wall Street Journal.
Dr. Wang earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in finance in China, and a Ph.D. in economics from Fordham University. He has published books and journal articles while
maintaining his status as a recognizable lecturer at universities and business schools around the world, including Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business and China Europe International Business School. In May 2013 he summited Mount Everest.
