Remembering Brien Holden

Today is a sad day indeed. Our dear friend Brien Holden passed away, leaving a legacy of inspiration, perseverance and vision. We were blessed by his efforts and research, and encouraged by his desire to provide healthy vision to all.

My first introduction to Brien was at an Optometry Giving Sight dinner, where I had the pleasure to sit and discuss the renewed vision of the Vision Impact Institute. He left a lasting impression, and I was inspired by his presence, humbleness and passion.

We will gladly carry on his mission to ‘deliver vision for everyone, everywhere’ as we work to help eliminate refractive error blindness. On behalf of the Vision Impact Institute, we send our heartfelt condolences to the family of Brien Holden, employees of the Brien Holden Vision Institute and all of our colleagues touched by Brien Holden’s influence.
