This study provides global estimates of the leading causes of vision impairment and blindness for 2015, examines trends since 1990, and provides projections to 2020.
It examines the effect of interventions on avoidable blindness and the progress made towards achieving the targets over the period 2010–15 including 61 new studies added, giving a total of 288 studies from 98 countries.
